Adaptation of Goldoni's comedy "The Liar" for the Croatian National Theatre in Šibenik was prepared by Marijana Nola, a playwright and directed by Zoran Mužić, creating a kind of continuation of earlier adaptation of Molière’s "The Miser", Šibenik Theatre’s hit play staged by the same creative duo. Šibenik version of Goldoni, premiered in December 2015, has been created according to the same principle of modernization and adaptation of the characters and the plot. The plot has got more modern dynamics - comedy of errors here is harsher and more intense while machinations and intrigues of the charming and fickle young Lelio lead to many twists and surprises. At the Acting Festival in Vinkovci Joško Ševo received an award for the role of Doctor Balanzone.
