34th MARULIĆ DAYS - Croatian Drama Festival (April 20 - 29, 2024)

In the official festival competition, 11 theatrical performances created from Croatian dramatic texts will be presented, produced by theaters from Croatia, along with one production from Argentina. For participation in the festival, 54 performances were submitted: 44 from Croatia, three from Slovenia, two from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one each from Serbia, Austria, Hungary, Germany, and Argentina.

In the competition for festival awards at the 34th Marulić Days, the following performances will be featured: "You Can Be Anything" by Ivana Vuković, produced by UO Punctum/UO T25/Kunst Theater, directed by Ivana Vuković; Mani Gotovac's "The Farewells" performed by the Rijeka Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc, directed by Anastasija Jankovska; "Girls" in co-production with UO kolektiv Igralke, Zavod VIDNE, and HNK Ivan pl. Zajc, in partnership with the Slovenian Youth Theatre and MASKA from Ljubljana, directed by Tjaša Črnigoj; "The Case of Own Downfall" by Kristian Novak, performed by HNK in Varaždin in co-production with HNK Ivan pl. Zajc, directed by Ivan Plazibat; Tomislav Šoban's authorial project "Truthiness" by HNK in Zagreb, directed by Tomislav Šoban; Jurica Pavičić's "Red Water" performed by HNK Split, directed by Ivica Buljan; Mate Matišić's "My Sad Monsters" by the City Drama Theater Gavella from Zagreb, directed by Vito Taufer; "Masks" by author, director, and actor Dražen Šivak, produced by UO Grupa in co-production with Dubrovnik Summer Festival and in collaboration with Scene Ribnjak and Teatar EXIT; "Symphonies/Turpitude" produced by Eurokaz, directed by Rajna Racz; Ksenija Zec's authorial project "Euphoria" produced by the Zagreb Youth Theater, directed by the author; "It Would Be a Shame if the Plants Withered" by Ivor Martinić, performed by Apacheta Sala Estudio from Buenos Aires, directed by Guillermo Cacace
