Takafumi Tamagawa

Takafumi Tamagawa began his dance education in his native Japan at the Etoile ballet school. He continued his education in Germany at the Ballet Academy "Benedict-Manniegel," and later at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. His first engagement was at the Krakow Opera (Poland), and from 2017 to 2023, he was a member of the ensemble at the Czech National Theatre in Ostrava.

He has won several awards, including the gold medal at the TANZOLYMP 2014 international competition in Berlin.

His repertoire includes ballets such as "Esmeralda" (choreo. V. Medvedev), "Wings of Wax" (choreo. J. Kylián), "Hora" (choreo. O. Naharin), "Carmen" (choreo. J. Pokorný), "The Three Musketeers" (P. Chalmer), "The Nutcracker" (choreo. W. Orlikowsky), "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" (choreo. K. Pastor).
