Alongside the musical program by the Academic Choir of the University of Split "Silvije Bombardelli," the scientific, literary, and publishing program will open with speeches by Josip Vrandečić (on behalf of the Literary Circle Split), Velimir Neidhardt (on behalf of HAZU), and Hrvojka Mihanović Salopek (on behalf of the Croatian Writers' Association).
Following the solemn opening, the Judita, Davidias, and Slavić Awards for the Croatian Book Day will be presented by Hrvojka Mihanović Salopek, president of the Croatian Writers' Association. The program continues with a poetic dedication to Contemporary Poets on Marko Marulić and the Split Renaissance Literary Circle, led by Gordana Laco, president of the Split branch of the Croatian Writers' Association.
Commemorating the 500th anniversary of Marko Marulić's death, a special program will also be held at the Radić Brothers Square (Croatian: Trg braće Radića). Alongside the laying of wreaths at the monument of Marko Marulić, as well as songs and recitations, the mayor, Ivica Puljak, will deliver a speech. At 7 p.m. in the Church of St. Francis, Monsignor Zdenko Križić will lead the holy mass, and alongside laying a wreath at Marulić's grave, speeches will be given by county prefect Blaženko Boban and Danka Radić from the Society of Friends of Cultural Heritage.
The main organizer of the scientific, literary, and publishing program is the Literary Circle Split - Marulianum.
