Recital by Ivana Štimac Agius - piano RECITAL BY IVANA ŠTIMAC AGIUS – PIANO

A native of Gomilica with an international career, she will present works from the piano literature, which is undoubtedly the wealthiest musical literature for any instrument in history. All significant classical composers have written for the piano. Through this recital, she will introduce the audience to some of the most famous composers in music history — Schubert, Chopin, Debussy, and the great Croatian composer Dora Pejačević.

Ivana Štimac is a Croatian pianist born in 1980 in Split. She began her musical education at the Josip Hatze Music School and continued her piano studies at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, where she graduated in 2003. She won 2nd prize at the "Zlatko Grgošević" piano competition in 2002. She completed her master's degree in piano in Skopje in 2009, where she also performed at the "Balkan Festival of Classical Music" in 2007. She has regularly improved her skills with renowned international pedagogues and has performed throughout Croatia and Europe. She was a piano teacher at the Josip Hatze Music School from 2003 to 2014. Since 2014, she has lived in Germany, where she works as a concert pianist and piano teacher. She is an active member of the MAG association and has won numerous awards at international chamber music competitions. Since 2021, she has been a piano teacher at JMS "Mosaik" in Freiberg am Neckar/Pleidelsheim.
