LysistRATa

"For over 2500 years, war has not ceased in Europe; it has been with us since our inception. I believe we have not listened to Brecht, who told us that we must learn from history. We have not found a way to turn Europe into a continent of peace. Theater cannot change the world, but in it, the truth can and must be heard." - Paolo Magelli, director.

LysistRATa is a story about women and men, about peace and war. Directed by Paolo Magelli, this politically engaged performance takes the audience through over 2500 years of European warfare: from the horrifying consequences of war to the absurdity of such human behavior and, finally, to the surrealistic and humorous observation on the subject.
