This book is a result of seven-year-long work of Vidović's wife, Gordana Gadžić, both an author and an editor of the book, who has managed to create a lively and dynamic assembly of voices in an attempt to capture Vidović with all his complexities and contradictions. Equal attention has been devoted to theatre, film and television, since he has had a lasting impact on all these areas. His key roles are elaborately presented both textually and with photography, through essays, reviews, comments from the audience, interviews and memorabilia. A total of 221 Vidović's roles were collected and recorded in a minuscule manner. Using an innovative chronological approach to this monographic form, Gordana Gadžić managed to create a work not only of precious documentary value, but also a testimony of past times, cultural policies and their protagonists, theatre and film history, both in Zagreb and Croatia, as well as in the entire former state.
