Guitarist Goran Listeš is a professor of guitar at the Arts Academy, University of his birth town Split. He graduated at the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb and at the HochschulefürMusikund darstellendeKunst in Graz. He is the winner of many prestigious international competitions, such as Jeunesses Musicales Competition Belgrade(1985), The International Guitar Competition - Fernando Sor(Rome 1989) and International Guitar Competition - Mauro Giuliani (Bari 1989). He has performed at numerous international festivals and concerts in Belgium, Italy, Spain, Cuba, Germany, Greece, Poland, Austria and other countries, including performances in famous concert halls: Wigmore Hall in London, L’Auditoriumde Radio France and the famous Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow. He also performed as a soloist with the Czech Philharmonic, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Croatian National Theatre Opera Orchestra, Community of Madrid Orchestra, I SolistiAquilaniItalian Chamber Orchestra and I Fiamminghi– the Orchestra of Flanders. He is a member of the Zagreb Guitar Trio, Italian Guitar Duo and Leonardo Guitar Quartet from Italy with whom he often performs. With Zagreb Guitar Trio he won a number of significant awards. Besides being a professor of guitar at the Arts Academy, University of Split, he is a guest professor at the Conservatory of Music “Nino Rota” of Monopoli, Italy and also gives master classes in Austria, Italy, Germany and Croatia.
