From Side to Side is an abstract dancing story with four characters, full of energy and emotion. People who are not acquainted with one another find themselves locked up in a room with only four chairs. Kirov’s choreographic handwriting is energetic, full of passion and emotions, choreographed to the music of the world-famous Balanescu Quartet, an avant-garde string ensemble founded in 1987 by Alexander Bălănescu.

Ballet score Romeo and Juliet, first presented in 1940 in the significantly revised version, opened entirely new page in the history of ballet art. Prokofiev's music translated Shakespeare and his characters to dance, providing them a new dimension. Later revivals and other productions, including this one by Dinko Bogdanić, have been based on the classical ballet expression constantly upgraded by numerous new variations.
