In this authorial project, the story begins with the life and work of the unfortunate death of the Split journalist Vladimir Matijanić. Starting from the case of his death, which remains unresolved to this day, the play takes on the tone of a tribute to Matijanić’s way of life and, above all, his approach to his profession—journalism—as well as his fervor, integrity, methodicalness, and morality. As a result, one of the play's central themes will crystalize a globally significant and current issue—journalism, specifically the death of trustworthy investigative journalism, the journalism of truth, and the art of writing, which has been replaced by sensationalism, superficiality, and clickbait.
