It detects a close connection between the Early Music and traditional and contemporary one, building a wide repertoire including its commissioned compositions. Together with an internationally renowned tenor, Krešimir Špicer, the Ensemble soon releases an album of Croatian Renaissance and Baroque music, presenting renowned motets by Ivan Lukačić in a new light and discovering the musical forces of Parnassus in the work of Vinko Jelić, created in the middle of the Thirty Years' War, in the Alsace town of Zabern, where Jelić put down his Mediterranean roots. The concert will present the very focal point of Baroque music, Venice, in the works of late offshoots of the Venetian School, Castello and Merula, as well as the first great opera makers, Monteverdi and Cavalli, and the 18th century Venetian virtuoso, Antonio Vivaldi.
