The Croatian Society of Theatre Critics and Theorists, in collaboration with the Croatian National Theatre in Split, is organizing a scientific symposium titled "Creative Methodologies in the Performing Arts: Research Questions" on Thursday and Friday, March 27 and 28, 2025, in the foyer of the Theatre. Around twenty experts and artists will participate, focusing on the presentation, experimentation, adoption, and study of methods of performance creation and systems that can be developed from them.
Actively engaging in understanding, documenting, storing, and, in some cases, applying both historical and current creative processes in the performing arts, the HDKKT launched a scientific theatre conference in 2024, with the first three-year cycle directed towards creative methodologies.
The symposium will take place on Thursday, March 27, from 9 AM to 7:45 PM, and on Friday, March 28, from 9 AM to 4 PM. Speakers include Milan Madarev, Petra Kovačić Botić, Lada Tale Feldman, Ana Gospić Županović, Anamarija Žugić Borić, Matko Botić, Bruna Bebić, Marta Brkljačić, Lucija Stanojević, Mario Kovač, Ivana Bakal, Sendi Bakotić, Patrik Gregurec, Dubravka Crnojević-Carić, Korina Oltran, Ivana Slunjski, Suzana Marjanić, Mirko Curić, Darko Milas, Nataša Gvozdenović, Petra Jelaca, Anica Vlašić-Anić, Katja Šimunić, Iva-Matija Bitanga, Leo Vukelić, and Olja Lozica.
