The City of Split, the Split Tourist Board, and the Croatian National Theatre Split are gifting the ballet spectacle "The Nutcracker" on Monday, December 9, at 6 PM.
The most-performed classical ballet in the world has been breaking attendance records for years, and this season, it is once again part of the repertoire at the Croatian National Theatre Split. Choreographer Božica Lisak has adapted the choreography by Waczlaw Orlikowsky. The lavish production involves the entire Ballet Ensemble, along with young dancers from the Ballet Studio and the Classical Ballet Department of the Josip Hatze Music School, as well as the Women’s Choir and the Orchestra of the Croatian National Theatre Split, conducted by maestro Levan Jagaev.
The success of "The Nutcracker" is undoubtedly owed to its enchanting story and dramatic flow, carefully crafted by Tchaikovsky and Marius Petipa. However, its enduring popularity is upheld by its music, which allows dancers to showcase their skills fully.
This year, tickets are being distributed to our retirees. Free tickets will be available at the Croatian National Theatre Split box office starting Thursday, December 5th. Any remaining tickets will be available to the general public at the box office on the performance day from noon.
