The All Souls' Day concert will be performed by the ensemble of the Arts Academy in Split in the foyer of the Croatian National Theatre in Split on Thursday, October 31st, at 8 PM. Conducted by maestro Veton Marevci, the concert features performances by music students, orchestras, and soloists from the UMAS. In remembrance of the saints, martyrs, and our beloved deceased, this special concert with a meditative atmosphere aims to shed light on the upcoming protagonists of the Split and Croatian music scene. Admission to the concert is free.
Maestro Marevci has crafted an exciting and diverse program that takes us through various musical eras and styles, ranging from vocal quartets to orchestral music, from organ compositions to a cappella singing. The audience can hear sacred works by composers such as J. Gallus, J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, C. Saint-Saëns, S. Barber, and G. Fauré. A literary program will also be part of the concert, featuring actor Pere Eranović from HNK Split reciting poetry by V. Nazor, s. Anka Petričević, and M. E. Frye.
