35th Marulić Days – 64 Dramatic Works Submitted to This Year's Festival

On the last day of the previous year, submissions for the 35th Marulić Days, a festival of Croatian drama organized by the Split Croatian National Theatre, were closed.

The festival selector, Jelena Kovačić, a renowned Croatian dramaturge, will, over the next few weeks, select the best works from the 64 submitted plays from eight countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, Italy, Germany, and Portugal) that were created in the past year based on the works of Croatian authors. The official festival program will be presented at the Marulić Days Council in the first half of February, while the festival will take place from April 22 to 30. During these days, Split will once again become the center of Croatian drama, offering a rich program of performances and accompanying events celebrating the value of Croatian dramatic art.

For 35 years, Marulić Days has been a key platform for preserving and promoting Croatian cultural heritage. This unique festival, dedicated to the works of Croatian authors, continues to uphold tradition while providing space for contemporary theatrical interpretations and innovations.
