Neno Munitić is the new director of the Opera at the CNT Split

He will assume the position of Director of the Opera at the Croatian National Theatre in Split in January 2025.

Neno Munitić, Master of Musical Arts, a distinguished Croatian musician, educator, and organizer, will become the Director of the Opera at the Croatian National Theatre in Split starting in January.

Neno Munitić graduated in guitar from the "Ino Mirković" High School of Music Arts in Lovran, where he later served as Vice-Dean and Dean. He is currently the Acting Director of the Lovro pl. Matačić Elementary Music School in Omiš.

Munitić founded and organized significant guitar competitions such as "Mala žica Dalmacije" in Split and "Ivan Padovec" in Lovran. His students have won over 100 awards at national and international competitions thanks to his outstanding pedagogical work. In addition to his teaching career, Munitić is active as a composer of classical and popular music. He is a Croatian Composers' Society member and the Croatian Music Union. He has received numerous accolades for his work, including the Plaque of the City of Omiš and the "Oscar of Knowledge" awarded by the Ministry of Science, Education, and Sports.

Neno Munitić will succeed the current Acting Director, Sunčana Tušek, as Director of the Opera. We extend our gratitude to Ms. Tušek for her dedicated work and commitment.
