The nominations for the Croatian Theatre Award 2024 have been announced. Nives Ivanković, Stipe Radoja, Ivor Martinić, Hrvoje Korbar, Ivo Lipanović, Domagoj Dorotić, and Franko Klisović, artists who participated in performances at HNK Split, have earned seven nominations. In addition, the principal actor of our theatre, Marjan Nejašmić Banić, has been nominated for a role performed at the Dubrovnik Summer Games, and the award for overall artistic achievement has been awarded to opera diva Gertruda Munitić, who began her illustrious career in the Split theatre. Best Artistic Achievement (Lead Female Role) in a Drama:
- Nives Ivanković for the role of Vesna in the play "Crvena voda" by Jurica Pavičić, directed by Ivica Buljan, produced by the Croatian National Theatre Split.
Best Artistic Achievement (Lead Male Role) in a Drama:
- Stipe Radoja for the role of Mate in the play "Crvena voda" by Jurica Pavičić, directed by Ivica Buljan, produced by the Croatian National Theatre Split.
- Marjan Nejašmić Banić for the role of Gospar Lukša in the play "Kafetarija" by Carlo Goldoni, directed by Paolo Tišljarić, produced by the 75th Dubrovnik Summer Games and the Marin Držić Theatre in Dubrovnik.
For the Best Premiered Contemporary Croatian Dramatic Text or Best Dramatisation, Adaptation, Dramaturgical Processing of Text, or Dramaturgy of the Performance:
- Ivor Martinić for the dramatization of the novel "Crvena voda" by Jurica Pavičić for the same-named performance produced by the Croatian National Theatre Split.
For the Best Conducting or Directing Achievement in Opera:
- Hrvoje Korbar for directing the opera "I Capuleti e i Montecchi" by Vincenzo Bellini under the musical direction of Ivo Lipanović, produced by the Croatian National Theatre Split, and for directing the opera "Stanac" by Jakov Gotovac under the musical direction of Ivo Lipanović, produced by the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
- Ivo Lipanović for conducting the opera "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini, directed by Goran Golovko, produced by the Croatian National Theatre Split for the 69th Split Summer.
Best Artistic Achievement (Lead Male Role) in Opera:
- Domagoj Dorotić for the role of Mario Cavaradossi in the opera "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini under the musical direction of Ivo Lipanović, directed by Goran Golovko, and produced by the Croatian National Theatre Split for the 69th Split Summer, and for the role of Lennon in the opera "Lennon" by Ivo Josipović, under the musical direction of Ivan Josip Skender, directed by Marina Pejnović, produced by the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
For Exceptional Achievement by Young Artists Under 30 Years in Opera:
- Franko Klisović for the role of Roasted Swan/Devil in the staged cantata "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff, under the musical direction of Ivan Hut, directed by Michal Znaniecki, produced by the Croatian National Theatre Split for the 70th Split Summer.
The jury for opera has awarded this year's prize for overall artistic achievement to one of the greatest vocal and stage artists in Croatia, opera singer Gertruda Munitić!
